that Empower youth Project, also known as The COPE Project utilizes a community-based approach and allows
selected mentors to provide a minimum of bi-weekly one-on-one mentoring to their selected mentee match. The duration of each
match is required to last one year from the time of the match. Mentees range between the ages of 4-18. Mentoring activities
will include visits to the zoo, sporting events, theatrical productions, and other pre-approved sites. The COPE Project is
funded by the Baton Rouge Area Foundation/Every Kid a King Fund and the Winn Dixie Foundation.
